With the obvious patriotic Bushesque Republican majority in America, why don’t we have a 50million man Army???

It seems weird that the Army had to open recruiting offices in Central America and Mexico City.
As a 24/7 liberal I served in the USMC And helped kill thousands of people for America. But now I'm to old to kill any more people. Why won't the Young Republicans step up to the challenge of War

Too funny. Hit em in their psuedo patriotic kissers and they have no intelligent retort. But I see their still up to personal attacks.

    Actually a thought provoking question, and actually more appropriately posed to all of us in America.

    I don’t have the distinguished military service (sincerely and seriously) that you have, so I guess you could lump me into this answer as well.

    Our priorities are messed up. We are a country that is focused on making money over providing service, being comfortable rather than making sacrifice, and knowing what is good but doing little about it.

    Don’t get me wrong, there is plenty of good that most of us do every day in this country, and I am an optimist.

    Our national compass would be better aligned if each of our teenage sons and/or daughters served a couple of years in the military, and we should look for ways to make that happen.

    Now, to be political about it, we should also cut social and special interest programs almost entirely so we can actually pay our military a decent wage and make it, at least, a fiscally responsible option.

    And what makes you think that you don’t!! With how many branches of the military and the many different types of secret services, plus the many companies supplying the weapons and support. I would not be surprised if the number involved was as high as 50 Million.

    Now as for recruiting in Central America and Mexico, I have not heard this story but it sounds desperate and dangerous. Opening the military to foreign nationals is a sure fire way to get people that don’t share the same interest of protecting the States.

    We do not require an army of 50 million! Just because the Republicans are far more in support of strong military units does not mean that we feel this way because we love war. We do not love war !! We need to know we are protected, however, and I fail to see the problem with this safeguard!

    Because the US Armed forces is a little bit particular about who they allow to join their organization.
